Staff Accountant - Manistee Area

• →Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• →Prepare and analyze various financial reports, focusing on cost of goods sold and inventory.
• →Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• →Support external audits by preparing requested documentation and schedules.
• →Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
• →Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation.
• →Analyze production variances and provide insights to management.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience in a Staff Accountant role, preferably in manufacturing
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Experience with inventory costing and analysis
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience with an ERP system like SAP or Oracle
• Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Advanced Excel skills, including macros and complex formulas
• CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification
