Staff Accountant - Marquette Area

We collaborate with manufacturing firms in the Marquette area that seek skilled Staff Accountants. • →Assist with inventory accounting and cost of goods sold analysis.
• →Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• →Support external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
• →Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.

• →Prepare and post journal entries for month end close.
• →Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• to 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• CPA or CMA certification or progress toward certification.
• Experience with cost accounting and inventory valuation.
• Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal controls.
