Staff Accountant - Muskegon Area

• →Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and various balance sheet accounts.
• →Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close, including accruals and reclassifications.
• →Assist with inventory valuation and reconciliation, performing cycle counts and investigating discrepancies.
• →Analyze production costs and variances, providing insights to management on cost control.
• →Support the annual audit process by preparing requested documentation and schedules.
• →Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.
• →Prepare various financial reports and analyses to support operational decision-making.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Excel
• Foundational understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with inventory costing and analysis

• Additional certifications or training
