Staff Accountant - Newaygo Area

• →Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements monthly, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• →Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• →Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
• →Support the annual external audit process by providing requested documentation and explanations.
• →Analyze manufacturing costs, including labor, material, and overhead variances.
• →Process accounts payable invoices and expense reports for timely and accurate payment.
• →Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation for all company assets.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
• Foundational understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with inventory costing and fixed asset accounting

• Additional certifications or training
