Staff Accountant - Otsego Area

• →Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and various balance sheet accounts.
• →Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
• →Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and reconciliations.
• →Support inventory costing and analysis, including variance explanations and cycle count reconciliation.
• →Prepare and analyze financial reports, such as expense reports and production cost summaries.
• →Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
• →Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience in a Staff Accountant role, preferably in manufacturing
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems)
• Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting principles

• Additional certifications or training
