• →Design and build new tools, dies, and fixtures.
• →Repair and maintain existing tooling to ensure production continuity.
• →Operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM.
• →Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine tooling specifications.
• →Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
• →Troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues affecting part quality or production efficiency.
• →Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize tool design and manufacturing processes.

• Completion of a formal apprenticeship program in Tool and Die Making or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in the setup, operation, and maintenance of manual and CNC machining equipment
• Proficient in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, including GD&T
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment processes, and various tooling materials
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex tooling and dies
• Experience with precision measurement tools and techniques to ensure dimensional accuracy

• Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam) for design and programming
• Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machinery (e.g., mills, EDMs)
• Knowledge of advanced metrology tools and techniques (e.g., CMM, laser scanning)
• Certification in a specialized area (e.g., jig and fixture design, mold making)
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
