Tool and Die Maker - Paw Paw Area

• →Design and build new dies, tools, and fixtures.
• →Repair and maintain existing dies, tools, and fixtures.
• →Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with tooling and production processes.
• →Operate a variety of machine tools, including mills, lathes, grinders, and EDMs.
• →Perform precision measurements and inspections using various metrology equipment.
• →Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize tooling performance.
• →Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

• Completion of a formal apprenticeship program in tool and die making or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in the setup, operation, and maintenance of manual and CNC machining equipment
• Proficient in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment processes, and material properties
• Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring instruments and perform quality inspections
• Experience with CAD/CAM software for design and programming of tools and dies

• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam) for design and programming
• Experience with CNC machining and programming
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for complex tooling issues
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Certification in a specialized area, such as welding, metallurgy, or advanced machining techniques
