Tool Maker - Walker Area

We are partnering with organizations in Walker that are seeking Tool Makers. • →Fabricate, repair, and modify tooling, dies, fixtures, and gauges.
• →Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• →Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs.
• →Perform precision measurements using a wide range of inspection tools.
• →Troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related production issues.
• →Maintain and repair existing production tooling and equipment.
• →Collaborate with engineers and production staff on tool design and improvement.

• Journeyman Toolmaker certification or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Expertise in operating a wide range of machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM machines
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment, and material properties
• Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring instruments and perform quality inspections
• Experience with CAD/CAM software for design and programming

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for tool design and programming.
• Familiarity with EDM and/or laser cutting processes.
• Certification in a relevant skilled trade (e.g., machining, tool and die making).
• Proven ability to mentor or train junior tool makers.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
