Learning Disability Teacher Consultant

Our client is seeking a passionate Learning Disability Teacher Consultant to join their team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting students with learning disabilities, ensuring they receive the tailored educational experiences they deserve. • →Participates as a member of the child study team in classifying children and developing Individualized Educational Programs (IEP).
• →Meets with Classroom Teachers and specialists to discuss the details and implementation of the IEPs of classified students.
• →Leads meetings between Child Study Teams and parents to interpret test results and develop IEPs.
• →Provides classroom teachers with a plan for carrying out diagnostic and prescriptive services to classified children in accordance with IEPs.
• →Coordinates and directs child study team meetings.
• →Plans with and advises the resource room and Special Education Teachers of instructional strategies for classified students.
• →Maintains a working knowledge of existing curriculum and remedial methods as a means of adapting district curriculum to the needs of classified children.
• →Assists classroom teachers with informal, diagnostic, and pre-referral procedures.
