Online English Tutor - Umhlanga Ridge Centre

We’re expanding our Umhlanga-based team and are looking for educators who are comfortable delivering curriculum-driven English lessons to both younger learners and adults. The focus here isn’t on ad-hoc conversation — it’s on guided progression, consistency, and helping students develop confidence over time.

You’ll be teaching live, online classes from our Umhlanga centre, working through a structured curriculum designed for different age groups and proficiency levels. Lessons are pre-built and sequential, so students move through a defined learning path rather than isolated sessions.

Your role is to bring that content to life — adapting your delivery style depending on whether you’re working with a younger learner who needs energy and encouragement, or an adult who values clarity and practical application.

• Matric Certificate is required

• Bachelor’s Degree (any discipline) is preferred

• 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certification

• Based in or able to commute to Umhlanga

• Availability for on-site shifts, including weekends

• Comfortable working within structured lesson plans and progression frameworks

• Confident using digital teaching tools and managing live online environments

• You enjoy teaching with a clear roadmap rather than improvising every lesson

• You’re able to adjust your tone and approach across different age groups

• You balance patience with pace — especially when guiding younger learners

• You’re consistent and detail-oriented when following curriculum milestones

• You bring enough personality to keep lessons engaging, without losing structure

• You’re comfortable being measured on delivery quality and learner progress

• Mon – Fri: 22:00 – 06:00

• Sat & Sun: 06:00 – 16:00

• Sat & Sun: 12:00 – 17:00

• Sat & Sun: 22:00 – 06:00
