Project Halo provides messaging, content, and research analysis to execute, guide, and coordinate efforts to counter antisemitism and anti-Zionism. Project Halo is designed to help the American Jewish community be more proactive, communicating faster, with more coordination, and focused on research-based, accurate, and effective messaging.

The Senior Director of Partnerships and Training for Project Halo will be responsible for growing Project Halo’s audience and impact, connecting Jewish leaders and allied stakeholders to Project Halo’s messaging, tools, and data, and helping them understand how to utilize it on a regular basis. The person in this role will engage with a wide variety of stakeholders and community leaders and work to develop partnerships that align messaging across the Jewish world, making communications efforts stronger, more effective, and responsive to crises and catalysts.

The Senior Director of Partnerships and Training will lead messaging and communications trainings for Project Halo, developing and implementing a curriculum that guides professionals and lay leaders on effective messaging strategies, rapid response engagement, and utilizing Project Halo’s tools and resources to impact audiences. The training will be designed to maximize the number of people who can effectively communicate about antisemitism and change hearts and minds, with a specific focus on engaging non-Jewish allies.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and managing relationships with potential partners and stakeholders, to include Jewish organizations, non-Jewish allies, lay leaders, media and content creators, and policy organizations.
  • Engaging with various stakeholders to advocate for usage of Project Halo messaging and tools within partners’ programs and initiatives.
  • Creating a communications training curriculum to guide stakeholders on effective messaging strategies, rapid response engagement, and utilizing Project Halo’s tools.
  • Customizing and leading communications trainings for various professional, lay leader and allied audiences.
  • Coordinating with professionals across Jewish Federations, JFNA and partners to maximize training opportunities in local communities.
  • Developing and overseeing convening opportunities to bring communicators and other stakeholders together to learn new skills and connect with one another.
  • Developing a protocol to track and measure the impact of Project Halo trainings and messaging.
  • Representing Project Halo and JFNA at various convenings, conferences, and forums on antisemitism and communications strategy.
  • Supporting the creation of Project Halo messaging, guidance, and content.
  • Working with Project Halo’s advisory committee and funders to track strategic growth and impact.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as communications, marketing, journalism, political science, public relations, or public affairs.
  • Significant experience in developing messaging for spokespeople and communicators, including crisis and policy communications.
  • Experience in training professionals and lay leaders in communications and messaging.
  • Experience in engaging Jewish organizations, interfaith groups, and other community stakeholders.
  • Strong relationships with Jewish community and allied leaders.
  • Strong presence, including strong communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Understanding of relevant topic areas, including antisemitism, hate, Middle East politics, and Jewish traditions and culture.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in supervision, leadership, strategic planning, and program management.
