The Opportunity We are looking for proactive, adaptable, and motivated interns to join our various divisions in 2026. Unlike traditional internships, our programme offers exposure to a wide range of projects and experiences. While interns will be assigned to a primary department based on their background and interests, Poni Group operates as one integrated team. Interns may be given opportunities to support cross-functional projects, field activities, stakeholder engagements, events, and community programmes depending on organizational priorities and operational requirements. This internship is ideal for individuals who enjoy learning, taking initiative, solving problems, and contributing to projects that create real-world impact. Interest & Mindset We welcome applicants who have an interest in one or more of the following: Sustainability and environmental initiatives Marine and maritime industries Technology and innovation Tourism and hospitality Community development Business operations and organizational systems Brunei's future economic development Prior experience in conservation or sustainability is welcomed but not required. 2. Teamwork & Adaptability A positive, team-first attitude. Willingness to support projects outside your primary scope when required. Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities may evolve. Ability to adapt to both office-based and field-based assignments. 3. Initiative & Ownership Comfortable taking ownership of assigned tasks. Able to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance. Willing to contribute ideas and support team objectives proactively. Solutions-oriented and eager to learn. 4. Academic & Independent Backgrounds Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a relevant programme (UBD, UTB, IBTE, PB, LCB, or equivalent institutions). Independent applicants with relevant volunteer experience, project experience, or technical skills are also encouraged to apply. 5. Core Competencies Communication Good written and spoken English. Ability to communicate professionally with colleagues, stakeholders, and partners. Problem Solving Self-motivated and willing to learn on the job. Able to approach challenges with a practical and solutions-focused mindset. Professionalism Reliable, responsible, and accountable. Location & Logistics Primary Station: Muara Town, Brunei Darussalam Mobility: Ability to travel to project sites, event venues, and operational locations when required. Remote Work: Limited remote arrangements may be considered at management discretion. Most internship placements require regular on-site participation and coordination with supervisors. Internship Duration Minimum: 8 weeks Preferred: 3 to 6 months Extended placements may be considered depending on project requirements and academic commitments.
