HR Business Partner (South)

The HR Business Partner (South) is responsible for partnering with managers across the South to translate HR strategy and policy into effective operational practice.

The role acts as a trusted sparring partner and adviser to managers, providing practical and commercially focused guidance on performance, absence management, talent, organisational development and employment matters.

Working as the bridge between day-to-day HR implementation and longer-term people strategy, the HR Business Partner will use workforce data and organisational insight to identify trends, anticipate people requirements and support effective workforce planning. The role will also lead and contribute to HR projects designed to improve organisational capability, employee performance and the overall employee experience. Covering the South sites with 1 day a week minimum in the Newark office.

• Strong generalist HR experience, preferably within an HR Business Partner, HR Adviser or similar commercially focused role.

• CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification, or equivalent HR experience.

• Practical experience of managing employee relations matters, including absence, performance, capability, conduct and organisational change.

• Experience of workforce planning, talent management and/or succession planning.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data and convert findings into meaningful business recommendations.

• Experience supporting performance management and annual HR cycles.

• Experience leading or contributing to HR projects.

• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A pragmatic, solution-focused and commercially aware approach.
