Registrar - Emergency Department | PRN | Days | Nights

The Staff Pad is partnering with a respected hospital in Las Vegas, NM to hire an experienced ED Registrar to serve as the welcoming face of the Emergency Department In this highly visible role, you’ll serve as the welcoming face of the Emergency Department—guiding patients through the registration process while supporting seamless communication between patients, families, and clinical teams and ensure a smooth patient experience. Schedule: PRN | Days | Nights | Graveyard Shift on Thursday | Additional coverage as needed What You’ll Do Welcome patients and visitors with empathy, professionalism, efficiency, and a calm, supportive presence during high stress situations Interview and register patients by collecting demographic, insurance, and consent information while maintaining accurate EHR records Explain hospital financial policies, payment procedures, and complete point-of-service collections while ensuring a positive patient experience Forward patient information to appropriate departments and collaborate with nurses, providers, and ED staff to support efficient patient flow and timely admissions Answer patient and visitor questions and provide guidance on hospital procedures, policies, and next steps Multitask effectively, work independently, and maintain comprehensive knowledge of ED, Outpatient, and Inpatient registration procedures Maintain registration accuracy with an error rate below 5% and demonstrate proficiency in HMS and Pro-Med systems What We Are Looking For Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Previous experience in a hospital, clinic, medical office, or healthcare setting preferred Additional Skills & Attributes Strong typing, computer, and data entry skills with excellent attention to detail Excellent communication, customer service, and teamwork skills Ability to stay organized and perform effectively in a fast-paced Emergency Department Knowledge of medical terminology Flexible, dependable, available for Thursday night graveyard shifts and additional coverage as needed What You Can Expect Exceptional patient care starts with a team that feels valued, supported, and empowered - backed by comprehensive compensation and benefits every step of the way Benefits Medical, Rx, Dental, Vision, Life & AD&D Insurance Retirement Plans PTO, Leave of Absence Maternity/Disability Leave Flexible Spending Account If you’re passionate about patient care, thrive in a collaborative environment, and want to make a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you.
