Total Group of Companies is expanding and is seeking a Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter to join our established Fire Services division. This role goes beyond standard service work — offering the opportunity to work on diverse commercial and industrial fire protection systems while contributing to the growth of our sprinkler division.
The ideal candidate is a fully certified sprinkler fitter who takes pride in their trade, enjoys problem-solving in the field, and is interested in growing into a leadership role over time.

Responsibilities

Inspect, service, and troubleshoot fire sprinkler systems
- →
Install, modify, and repair sprinkler piping and components
- →
Perform system upgrades, retrofits, and additions
- →
Inspect and service fire pumps and hydrant systems
- →
Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls
- →
Identify and recommend fire code compliance solutions
- →
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- →
Prepare detailed inspection, testing, and deficiency reports
- →
Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicles
- →
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable codes and standards

Support other Fire & Safety divisions as required
- →
Maintain professional client relationships on-site

To be considered, you must:
Be authorized to work in Canada and possess a valid SIN
Hold a valid driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience
Be able to provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract
Have experience towing trailers
Be willing to travel and work after hours/weekends as required
Be willing to work away from home base as needed
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule
Be able to obtain and maintain required safety certifications
Minimum 1+ years Journeyman experience
Strong working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., NFPA)
Proven experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting sprinkler systems
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and system drawings
Strong technical understanding of fire protection systems
Ability to coordinate work and communicate with clients, contractors, and authorities
