The Warehouse Supervisor is a player-coach role, combining leadership responsibilities with hands-on warehouse operations. You will oversee daily activities, ensure compliance with applicable Dutch occupational health and safety requirements and company procedures, and actively participate in picking, packing, and inventory tasks. This position also involves vendor coordination and supporting logistics to maintain efficiency and service quality.
Lead and support warehouse staff to achieve operational targets.
Perform hands-on warehouse tasks, including picking, packing, and stock control, when required.
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with Dutch customs and international trade regulations.
Communicate with vendors regarding issues, development, and rate negotiations as needed.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.
Monitor schedules, resources, and workflows to meet business objectives.
Resolve operational issues promptly and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes.
Ensure compliance with applicable Dutch occupational health and safety requirements, company procedures and relevant employment legislation.
Support and reinforce safe systems of work and report hazards, incidents, and near misses in line with company procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation for inventory and shipping activities.
Foster a positive, inclusive work environment and coach team members for development.
Ability to lead by example and perform operational tasks when needed.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an excellent command of English, both spoken and written. English is required for regular communication and collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders in the UK and US.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced setting.
Knowledge of applicable Dutch occupational health and safety requirements and customs regulations.
Valid Reach Truck/Forklift certification, or ability to obtain the required certification for the role.
Full-time onsite role, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Flexibility in working hours may be required in line with business needs and in accordance with applicable Dutch working-time legislation and any applicable collective labour agreement (CAO).
No regular travel expected.
