Lead Accountant: Secunda

You are focused on ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the GL by processing monthly journals, preparing reconciliations, cost analysis, inventory reporting and fixed asset register maintenance.

• →You will assist internal and external auditors with information/feedback requested and ensure consistent application of internal controls.

• →Lead control and monitor the functions of all admin staff

• →Analyse weekly financial accounts.

• →Plan the cash flow of the bakery and monitor bank accounts.

• →Review debtor’s ageing ledger weekly.

• →Attend monthly stock counts and reconcile stock movements weekly.

• →Compile annual budgets.

• →Compile year-end accounts and schedules.

• →Implement Financial Standards, Policies and Procedures and internal Controls aligned to the Bakeries BMR (Basic Minimum Requirements).

Key attributes and competencies

• →Newly Qualified CA or Bcom Accounts degree with 2 to 3 years accounting and administrative in a FMCG environment

• →Strong communication skills

• →Business analytical skills

• →Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Oracle

Experience

• →2-3 years accounting experience in a lead or supervisory role within FMCG / Manufacturing or similar
