This person will help with all the behind the scene needs keep day to day running smoothly. In addition he/she will support by assisting with some administrative tasks. Implementing administrative systems, procedures, and policies, and monitoring deliverables. Acting as the first person of contact, operating as the project manager for organizational tasks and events.Responsibilities
~1 min read•Ensuring, where requested, that accidents and incidents in the workplace are fully investigated and reported as per legal requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Workman’s Compensation Act.
•Keeping the LTIFR rate within the set KPI tolerance level of Albany. the parameters of the National average for Food Manufacturing Companies.
•External Auditing by Alexander Forbes {MARSH}& Certification Bodies.
•Monthly reporting to the National office HSSE manager,Tiger Brands Risk & Sustainability Director.
•External Auditing by Alexander Forbes, SABS, SGS, KPMG, etc.
•Measurement against standards as outlined in the Tiger Brands Environmental System.
•ISO 14001 auditing internal and external
•Implementation of Utility preventative steps at specific site all Tiger Brands sites as per pre planned programme ensuring contingency planning in case of utility outages specific site of Tiger Brands sites investigations performed in accordance with constitution and legal constraints of law ofevidence.

•Having training courses approved by the SETAS ensuring that all employees are trained on a yearly basis ensuring an empowered workforce and also ensuring that Tiger Brands can claim moneys back from the Skills Development Levy by giving approved training to its employees.
•Advise & Liaise with line management on Internal and external disciplinary Procedures.
•Ensuring appropriate physical & electronic support measures are in place.
•Employee vetting through Implementation of Tiger Risk Control Standards.
•Assess service provider compliance to PSIRA legislation
•Be the custodian of site induction and compliance with OHS Act required training and competence declaration.
Risk Management
•Protect the business from internal & external threat of sabotage, arson, theft, robbery, malicious damage to property and all criminally related risk.
•Ensuring that Tiger Brands Risk Control Standards are maintained through policies, procedures and systems.
•Continuous risk assessments through formalized risk surveys.
•Ensuring employee compliance against Risk Control standards
•Protect the business against business interruption and identified insurable loss.
•Ensuring that all Tiger Brands sites have been audited and profiled on a yearly basis as per the fixed pre-planned schedule set out in conjunction with all Tiger
•Liaison with Governmental Depts, SAPS, Justice and National Intelligence etc.
•Appointment and management of a Security service provider.
•Apply Security risk assessment methodology based on ISO 31 000 Risk management principles
•Do security risk assessments when incidents occur that have an impact on the security of the plant.
•Potential security risks are identified and mitigated
•Implementation of security policies, procedures, standards and applicable legislation.
•Enforce and audit compliance with security policies, procedures, standards and applicable legislation
•Activation and coordination of security emergency response resources.
•Ensure that up to date security emergency response plans are in place
•Ensuring effective response to minimize the impact on people and property
•Compile and submit monthly security reports. Comprehensive monthly security reports submitted timeously.
•Understands basic requirements to implement all security related legislation, inclusive of Criminal Procedures Act, PSIRA Act, Popia Act
•Conducts regular audits on site to identify gaps in site against requirements in the Security processes, procedures and legislative requirements and ensures these gaps are closed
•Implement communication campaigns to ensure knowledge of Health and Safety legal compliance across the plant.
•Understands and applies SOPs. Implements ISO18788
•Conduct internal audits and host audits. Identify and implement sustainable corrective action based on non-conformances
•Management is kept informed of the state of security and business operations.
•Assess Technical inefficiencies on Security systems. i.e. CCTV, Intruder alarms, Gate systems, etc.
•Initiate Security Capex projects related to security requirements.
•Strong analytical and risk assessment capability
•High attention to detail and governance focus
•Strong knowledge of compliance, safety, and operational risk processes
•Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
•Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
Experience and Qualifications
•Risk Management experience in the Food/Beverage industry, Management 2 years ,Operational 5 years.
•Core knowledge – Safety management, Safety rules and regulations, Food Safety, Government policies on Safety
•Academic – National Higher Diploma Environmental Health.
•Qualification in Legal aspects of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
•Leadership – Leading with Integrity and respect, Influencing others, Managing change, Owning it!, Thinking Innovation, Embracing Diversity, Staying a Step-Ahead
•Personal Effectiveness – Effective communication, Interpersonal skills
