Heavy Equipment Operator (Fort Hills)

NACG is looking for Hydraulic Shovel Operators to work on a remote mining site in the Fort McMurray area. This is your opportunity to join one of the safest and largest contracts in the region.

For this role, NACG offers a combined rate of up to $54.86/hour as well as room for growth

• Site: Fort Hills
• Schedule: 14x7 12 hr (paid for 12 hours) days/nights
• Accommodations: Camp accommodations are provided. 
• Transportation: Flights provided to and from Edmonton or Calgary. 
• Overtime: Provided after 8 hours in a day or 44 hours in a week.

We are proud to work with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.  Successful candidates will become a part of that union.

• Up to a combined rate of pay of $54.86/ hour
• Vacation and Statutory Holiday pay allocated to each paycheck
• Earn up to 61 hours of overtime per 14-day rotation
• Night shift premium +$1.20 / hour

• Must have a minimum of 2 years' of experience operating 2500, 3600, and 5500 Front-Loading Hitachi Shovels. 
• Must have at least 2 years' experience in mining environment.
• High school diploma, GED, and/or post-secondary education is considered an asset.
