Electrical Apprentice (1st Year)

Work full-time while studying to get your Cert III in Electrotechnology. What you will be doing · Assist their on-site manager with installation, reading and interpreting drawings / specifications, programming, testing, and commissioning of various electrical and cabling systems across commercial building sites and premises. · Work with a team of Tradesmen and Project Managers to successfully deliver electrical and communications projects in accordance with Company standards and to meet project timeframes. · Follow relevant codes and industry standards which govern electrical installation and maintenance. · Demonstrate competence in establishing and maintaining relationships with customers, colleagues, and managers of the Company. · Effectively manage administrative requirements including call reports and time sheets. · Attend shifts as per roster requirements. · Demonstrate aptitude with electrical and mechanical tools. · Understand written information and instructions and correspond clearly and concisely. · Understand inventory stock components used in the process of work and ensure parts are correctly booked out to the task. · Other duties as directed by your supervisor. Requirements What you need · Australian Citizenship · Willingness to obtain an NV1 Defence Clearance through AGSVA · Pre-apprenticeship Certificate II in Electrotechnology (required). · Construction induction card (required). · Current Australian driver’s license (required). · Own vehicle (required). · Year 12 (required). · Proficient in English and Mathematics. · Other qualifications as appropriate. · Some prior work experience in a trade or customer service role is beneficial but not mandatory. · Ability to climb a ladder. · Ability to do overtime and shift work when required. · Ability to do work away from home / living remotely when required. · Ability to pass a national police and medical check.
