Company Description
Tradeweb is a global leader in electronic trading across asset classes. As financial markets become increasingly interconnected, our technology enables efficient, multi-asset trading on a global scale. We serve more than 3,000 clients in more than 85 countries, including many of the world’s largest banks, asset managers, hedge funds, insurers, corporations, and wealth managers.
Creative collaboration and sharp client focus have helped fuel our organic growth. We facilitated average daily trading volume (ADV) of more than $2.8 trillion over the past four fiscal quarters, topping $3.3 trillion in ADV for the first quarter of 2026.
Since our IPO in 2019, Tradeweb has completed four acquisitions and doubled our revenues – and 2025 was our 26th consecutive year of record revenues.
Tradeweb plays a central role in modernizing market structure by developing innovative trading protocols, embedding analytics into execution, and building technology infrastructure that supports the convergence of traditional and digitally native financial markets. Tradeweb is a great place to work, recognized in 2025 by Forbes as one of America’s Best Companies and by U.S. News & World Report as one of the Best Financial Services Companies to Work For.
As a technology-driven organization, we value individuals who embrace innovation and are eager to leverage emerging technologies, including AI, to improve efficiency, enhance decision-making, and deliver better outcomes for clients and colleagues. We believe the greatest impact comes from combining technological capabilities with human expertise, judgment, and accountability
Group Details
Tradeweb is building digital asset capable platforms to support the next phase of institutional markets, where traditional and digitally native assets trade side by side. As distributed ledger technology progresses across our tokenised and digital securities initiatives, we are looking for an individual to own both go-live within regulated regimes and the operation of these platforms once they are running.
This is a senior, hands-on role that spans delivery, operations and governance. In the run-up to launch you will own readiness across our digital asset workstreams, coordinating the testing, dependencies and external parties that stand between a working platform and a live one. At go-live you become the operational owner, standing up the day-to-day procedures, first-line support and incident management that keep the platform reliable and its participants confident. You will work across product, technology, legal, compliance and client-facing teams internally, and with banks, custodians, market infrastructure providers and technology partners externally.
The role includes appointment as a daily policymaker (dagelijks beleidsbepaler) of Tradeweb EU B.V., with responsibility for its digital asset activities. Alongside delivery and operational ownership, you will contribute to the entity's policy decisions, governance and oversight. Appointment to, and commencement of, the policymaker responsibilities are subject to a positive outcome of the AFM's suitability and reliability assessment.
Job Responsibilities
Delivery and go-live readiness
- Own go-live readiness across the firm's digital asset workstreams, including scaling readiness as volumes and participants grow.
- Plan and coordinate integration and production testing end to end, from test design through execution and sign-off.
- Track deliverables and dependencies across internal teams and external parties, and keep the critical path visible and current.
- Manage upgrade, penetration test and implementation planning, and the operational readiness that sits behind each.
Make sure actions across digital asset projects are picked up, owned, progressed and closed, with nothing left to drift.
Operational ownership at go-live
- Stand up and run the day-to-day operating procedures for the platform once live.
- Act as the operational owner for first-line support and incident coordination, including escalation, communication and post-incident follow-up.
- Oversee the execution of participant and client onboarding, working with the teams responsible for eligibility, setup and enablement.
- Build the operational controls, monitoring and governance appropriate to a regulated digital asset environment.
Governance and policymaker responsibilities
- Set and oversee policy for the entity's digital asset activities, within the agreed allocation of policymaker responsibilities.
- Exercise independent judgement on launch readiness, material changes, operational risks and incident escalation.
- Provide clear reporting to the Board on performance, risks, control weaknesses and remediation, and escalate matters requiring Board decisions.
- Work with Compliance, Risk and Legal to translate regulatory requirements into operational policies and decisions, and support engagement with the AFM.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in digital asset operations, post-trade, or delivery within financial market infrastructure, a custodian, a CSD, or a sell-side or buy-side operations function.
- A track record of taking complex platforms or products live, ideally in a role that spanned both delivery and steady-state operations.
- Working knowledge of distributed ledger technology and tokenisation, and a clear grasp of the asset leg, cash leg, custody model and settlement lifecycle.
- Comfort operating in a regulated setting, with awareness of the frameworks that govern digital securities, including sandbox and transitional regimes.
- Experience of senior management accountability and governance within a regulated financial institution, including policy decisions, risk oversight and reporting to a board or equivalent governing body.
- The knowledge, experience, professional conduct and integrity required to pass the AFM's suitability and reliability assessment.
- Strong stakeholder management across internal functions and external counterparties, and the credibility to hold both to account.
Excellent judgement under pressure, sharp incident-management instincts, and a habit of driving actions to closure.
Desirable
- Direct exposure to tokenised securities, digital cash or settlement initiatives.
- Familiarity with production support and incident frameworks in a live digital asset trading or settlement environment.
- Experience coordinating penetration testing, upgrades and change management on mission-critical systems.
