The Supply Chain Buyer/Planner is the primary supply chain coordinator for the Little Rock decking operation. This role is responsible for production scheduling, raw material and packaging procurement, inventory control execution, and ERP transaction accuracy to support safe, efficient, and uninterrupted manufacturing operations. This person serves as a key cross-functional partner to Operations, Quality, and Engineering, balancing customer service, manufacturing efficiency, inventory investment, and material availability in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities

- →Lead and foster our “people first” culture.
Materials Planning & Procurement
- →Plan and procure raw materials and packaging to support production requirements while maintaining target inventory levels and working capital objectives.
- →Manage inventory levels considering lead times, supplier performance, safety stock requirements, storage constraints, and forecasted demand.
- →Partner with suppliers to provide forecasts, expedite deliveries, resolve supply disruptions, and investigate receipt discrepancies.
- →Coordinate material availability with the production schedule to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
- →Represent Supply Chain in new product launches and material change initiatives to ensure successful implementation.
- →Partner with Quality, Engineering, and R&D teams to evaluate and disposition materials on hold in a timely manner to minimize production risk and inventory exposure.
Production Scheduling
- →Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule for the Little Rock decking operations.
- →Convert supply plans, customer demand, inventory requirements, and manufacturing constraints into executable production schedules.
- →Balance customer service requirements, inventory objectives, equipment utilization, and operational efficiency.
- →Monitor schedule adherence and partner with Operations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- →Lead schedule adjustments in response to changing demand, material shortages, equipment downtime, or operational constraints.
Inventory Control & ERP Management
- →Execute and ensure accuracy of inventory transactions for raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
- →Research, reconcile, and resolve inventory discrepancies using ERP system analysis and root cause investigation.
- →Maintain ERP master data and planning parameters to support accurate planning and inventory management.
- →Review and close production work orders on a regular basis to ensure accurate inventory and manufacturing reporting.
- →Execute daily, weekly, and monthly cycle count activities and investigate inventory variances.
- →Support annual physical inventory activities and implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy.
- →Serve as the first level of inventory issue resolution for the Little Rock facility.
Continuous Improvement
- →Identify and implement process improvements that enhance inventory accuracy, material flow, production efficiency, and working capital performance.
- →Analyze operational and supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- →Drive improvements to planning processes, ERP utilization, and inventory management practices.
- →Maintain planning and inventory master data to improve system integrity and reduce reliance on manual processes.

Full-Time/Regular
We are looking for leaders with a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in supply planning, production scheduling, purchasing, inventory management, or related supply chain functions within a manufacturing environment.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong production planning, inventory management, and purchasing capabilities.
- Ability to independently prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain planning tools.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working with ERP systems
Preferred Skills & Experience
- JD Edwards (JDE) experience.
- High-volume manufacturing experience.
- APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent).

Base Salary Range: $65,000-$90,000 annually
The salary range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual/sales bonus, in addition to the base salary.
