About the Role

This is primarily a project delivery and technical consultancy role within an MSP environment. You will work directly with clients to deliver infrastructure, cloud, and Microsoft 365 projects while building trusted relationships and providing technical guidance. You'll spend most of your time delivering change, improvements, and consultancy. 

The ideal candidate will have experience working within an MSP or IT services environment and be comfortable taking ownership of technical work from planning through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

• Deliver Microsoft 365, Azure, infrastructure, and networking projects.

• Perform server, cloud, and infrastructure migrations.

• Install, configure, and upgrade business-critical IT systems.

• Lead technical workstreams on larger projects.

• Conduct technical assessments, audits, and health checks.

• Produce accurate technical documentation and handover materials.

Client Consultancy

• Work directly with clients to understand requirements and recommend solutions.

• Provide technical guidance and best-practice advice.

• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Support customer adoption of new technologies through training and knowledge transfer.

Technical Support

• Assist with complex technical escalations where required.

• Troubleshoot infrastructure, cloud, and networking issues.

• Support successful project delivery by providing technical expertise across the wider business.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who has experience working as a: 

• Technical Consultant 

• Project Engineer 

• Infrastructure Engineer 

• Senior 3rd Line Engineer 

within an MSP, technology services, or consultancy environment. 

You should be comfortable working independently, engaging directly with customers, and taking ownership of technical outcomes.

Technical Skills

We do not expect candidates to be experts in every area, but experience across several of the following technologies would be beneficial:

• Firewall platforms such as Fortinet, SonicWall, WatchGuard, or Palo Alto 

 Backup & Business Continuity 

• Veeam 

• N-able Cove 

• General backup and disaster recovery solutions 

About You

You'll likely: 

• Have 3+ years’ experience delivering IT projects within an MSP environment. 

• Enjoy solving technical problems and improving customer environments. 

• Be confident working directly with clients. 

• Have strong communication skills. 

• Be organised and self-motivated. 

• Take ownership and see tasks through to completion. 

• Want to continue developing your technical and consultancy skills.

• Successfully deliver a mix of Microsoft 365, Azure, and infrastructure projects. 

• Build trusted relationships with key client stakeholders. 

• Take ownership of technical workstreams and project outcomes. 

• Contribute to technical standards, documentation, and best practices. 

• Continue developing your skills through training and certifications.
