Trinity Solar, one of the nation’s leading residential solar companies, is looking for a Structural Technician to bring skilled craftsmanship and problem-solving expertise to our solar installation operations.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll help ensure homes are structurally ready for solar installations by performing repairs, upgrades, and construction-related work. You’ll assess project sites, make framing and roofing improvements, repair leaks, and complete siding and drywall work while maintaining a high standard of quality, safety, and professionalism.

This is an opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in their work and enjoys variety in their day. If you’re comfortable working with your hands, solving problems in the field, working at heights, and delivering quality results, we want to hear from you.

Compensation: $26 - $31 / hour

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assess project sites, take accurate measurements, and prepare for structural and installation needs.
  • Perform structural improvements, including framing, sistering rafters, and other construction-related modifications.
  • Diagnose and repair roof leaks quickly and effectively.
  • Perform home repairs associated with solar installations, including siding, drywall, and other general construction work.
  • Use standard carpentry, roofing, and construction tools safely and effectively.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with customers while working on-site.
  • Document completed work thoroughly, including required photos, project details, and reports.
  • Submit all required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite throughout the workday.
  • Maintain company vehicle standards and ensure tools and equipment are properly cared for and secured.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Assist with additional construction, repair, and installation-related tasks as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Solid foundation in carpentry and roofing, with hands-on experience using standard construction tools.
  • Ability and willingness to perform a variety of construction, repair, and maintenance tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to assess jobsite conditions and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Comfortable working at heights and on roofs for extended periods of time.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a strong attendance record.
  • Professional and courteous communication skills, particularly when interacting with customers on-site.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift and carry 40–50 pounds regularly.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and motor vehicle record (MVR) check.

Education and Experience:

  • Experience in carpentry, roofing, residential construction, or a related skilled trade preferred.
  • Hands-on experience performing structural repairs, roofing work, or residential construction is preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of training and practical experience may be considered.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work outdoors and on residential jobsites in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to work at heights and on roofs for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined or elevated spaces as required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 40–50 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to operate a company vehicle safely and maintain required driving standards.
