About the Role
~1 min readWe’re looking for a curious, high-potential Software Engineer I to join our Experiences Engineering team. This is a junior, full-stack role, working with Java, SQL, React, AWS and AI tools. It’s designed for engineers who have strong fundamentals and are hungry to grow in a fast-paced, product-driven environment. If you love the idea of shipping code to millions of travelers and want to learn how to build at scale, this is the place for you!
We embrace flexibility in where and how work gets done and also value meaningful in-person moments to connect and collaborate. You can expect a remote-first working model with periodic in-person gatherings at your closest office for team connection, planning, or other key moments. This position is open to candidates based within a commutable distance (generally up to 1.5 hours) of one of our office hubs in London, Oxford, Krakow or Lisbon.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Ship Frequently: You’ll be part of the full software lifecycle, from design and coding to testing and deployment. You’ll release code to production on an almost daily basis.
- →Learn & Grow: Work cross-functionally alongside product, design, and data experts to understand why we build, not just how.
- →Partner with AI: Leverage agentic coding tools for routine tasks like writing boilerplate, unit tests, and small refactors, using AI as a "force multiplier" to help you learn faster.
- →Build Quality: Design and implement clean, readable solutions with a strong focus on automated unit and integration testing.
- →Collaborate: Participate in design reviews, ask questions, and actively seek feedback to sharpen your technical and professional skills.
We typically look for 0-2 years’ experience, following a Bachelor’s degree or above in Comp Sci.
- Technical Fundamentals: A strong grasp of computer science basics—data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Full-Stack Exposure: Familiarity with web app development, including proficiency in at least one modern backend language (e.g., Java, C#, Go, Python) and a basic understanding of relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- AI Coding: you are comfortable coding with either Cursor or Codex/Claude/Open Code.
- Growth Mindset: A genuine desire to learn new technologies and a "global-first" mindset for collaborating with teammates around the world.
- Clear Communication: The ability to explain your logic and talk through blockers with your team.
We don’t expect you to know everything on day one. However, we’re especially interested if you’ve had exposure to AWS, React, or NoSQL databases. More than any specific tool, we value curiosity and the ability to solve problems creatively.
We value engineers from different technical backgrounds. You can complete our coding interview exercises in any language of your choice, but need to be open to working within the Java ecosystem when you join!
What We Offer

Our execution is agile, data-driven, prioritised, and built to scale. We assume no problem is someone else’s problem and finish what can be done today, knowing tomorrow will bring fresh challenges.
- We succeed together: The best outcomes are driven by empathic, humble, and diverse subject matter experts working toward shared goals. We collaborate relentlessly, challenge assumptions, give actionable feedback, and set each other up for success through empowered teams with a clear charter.
