Salary: Level 7 Step 1 ($3,410.25 bi-weekly)

The Travel and Finance Support Officer assists TH Government staff with travel-related tasks, including managing travel claims, booking hotels and flights, and monitoring the completion of post-trip travel reports in accordance with the provisions of the TH Finance Act and related policies, procedures and processes. The incumbent assists the Financial Services and Procurement Officer with administrative duties related to travel and TH Government procurement.
An Eligibility List may be established from this competition – the duration of the eligibility list may be up to 12 months. The eligibility list may be used to fill future permanent full-time, permanent part-time, temporary full-time, temporary part-time, term, or auxiliary on-call vacancies within the same department and classification based on the organizational needs by going the next highest ranked candidate until the eligibility list expires.

Essential Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12 (or equivalent) and a diploma or certification in finance or business management, with experience in financial administration or procurement an asset. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and videoconferencing technologies.
- Experience with interpreting, applying and communicating policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles, travel administration and government procurement processes.
- Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills, with an ability to prioritize competing demands.
- Ability to effectively manage sensitive or confidential information.
- Ability to meet critical deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Excellent records management and general office management skills.
Conditions of Employment:

- Class 5 Driver's License with a clear driver’s abstract.
- TH 101 Cultural Awareness training.
