Responsibilities

→Provide direct 1:1 support to the student throughout the school day.
→ Communicate effectively using American Sign Language (ASL) to ensure the student’s full access to classroom instruction, routines, and social interactions.
→ Assist the student with understanding academic tasks, following directions, and staying engaged in lessons.
→ Support the student with organization, behavior regulation, and transitions between activities or environments.
→ Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and facility staff to implement the student’s IEP goals.
→ Adapt communication and instructional strategies based on the student’s intellectual and hearing-related needs.
→ Support safe navigation of the school environment and provide supervision as needed.
→ Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance with school and facility policies.
