Bilingual Spanish ELA Tutor - 10th Grade Reading & Writing Support

• In-Person Tutoring in Wilmington, CA
• Schedule: 20 hours, 2 sessions/week, 1 hr
• Pay range is between $25 and $35

• Must have an active teaching credential.
• Spanish bilingual ability is highly preferred but not required.
• Experience supporting high school students with reading comprehension, literacy development, and writing skills.
• Able to provide clear, step-by-step instruction and break down complex assignments into manageable tasks.
• Creative, patient, and engaging, with the ability to use hands-on learning activities and positive reinforcement.

• →Provide targeted support in English Language Arts (ELA), including reading comprehension, identifying main ideas and supporting details, making inferences, expanding vocabulary, and understanding grade-level texts.
• →Strengthen writing skills, including grammar, sentence structure, paragraph organization, and developing clear, well-structured responses.
• →Assist with homework, guided practice, and breaking down assignments into smaller, manageable steps.
• →Use physical learning materials such as books, worksheets, and the whiteboard available at home.
• →Incorporate visual aids and interactive activities to maintain engagement and motivation.
• →Build the student's confidence, academic skills, and independence through consistent support and positive reinforcement.
