SPED Tutor - Foundational Reading, Handwriting & Math

At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in Los Angeles, CA! • In-Person Tutoring in Los Angeles, CA
• Schedule: 25 hours a month, 5 sessions a week for 1.25 hours
• Pay rate is between $25 and $35

• Experience working with students with ADHD, autism, and learning differences.
• Background in special education, tutoring, or individualized academic support preferred.
• Patient, encouraging, and able to maintain structure while keeping sessions engaging.
• Skilled in providing repetition, guided practice, and individualized instruction based on the student's learning pace.
• Able to incorporate the student's interests and preferred learning tools to encourage participation and motivation.

• →Support handwriting development, using alternative methods such as typing on an iPad or electronic device when appropriate.
• →Strengthen reading fluency, comprehension, phonemic awareness, and phonics skills.
• →Provide instruction in foundational math concepts and skills, with an emphasis on retention and consistency.
• →Use repetition and step-by-step instruction to reinforce previously learned concepts.
• →Maintain a structured and encouraging learning environment while helping the student stay engaged and complete academic tasks.
• →Incorporate the student's interests, such as K-Pop characters, Stitch, drawing, dogs, and teddy bears, into learning activities when appropriate.
• →Track progress and adjust instructional strategies based on the student's needs.
