The Robotics Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping customer robots running safely, reliably, and productively.
This is a hands-on field role supporting a growing fleet of autonomous robotic systems. You'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot failures, execute repairs and upgrades, and serve as a trusted technical representative of Tutor Intelligence.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and taking ownership.
This role involves regular travel to customer sites throughout the United States. Most trips are short-duration service visits focused on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades. Technicians are generally home most weekends.
Responsibilities
~1 min readOwn maintenance execution across assigned sites with minimal supervision
Lead complex troubleshooting and root cause investigations
Mentor technicians and develop field best practices
Create SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and service documentation
Serve as a trusted technical resource for customers and internal teams
Experience maintaining robotics, automation equipment, industrial machinery, AGVs, AMRs, conveyors, packaging equipment, or similar systems
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum systems
Ability to read schematics and technical documentation
Strong communication skills and customer-facing professionalism
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
Most maintenance jobs are about keeping old equipment running.
