Civil / Structural Lead Engineer

• Lead civil and structural engineering activities across industrial projects, from early design through construction support.
• Establish design approaches, technical criteria, and engineering deliverables in alignment with project requirements.
• Review and approve calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, and other technical documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and designers within the discipline.
• Identify technical risks, develop appropriate engineering solutions, and support resolution of complex design issues.

• Plan and manage civil/structural engineering scope, deliverables, budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Coordinate engineering activities with project managers, clients, contractors, and other disciplines.
• Monitor progress and ensure deliverables are completed to agreed quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Support project execution through design reviews, constructability assessments, site support, and resolution of technical queries.
• Contribute to proposals, estimates, technical scopes, and project execution strategies.

• Develop and oversee designs for industrial buildings, foundations, equipment supports, steel and reinforced concrete structures, and associated civil infrastructure.
• Apply relevant international and local design codes, standards, and regulations.
• Coordinate interfaces between structural systems, architectural requirements, process equipment, mechanical systems, and site infrastructure.
• Review geotechnical information and incorporate applicable requirements into structural and civil design solutions.
• Support value engineering, optimization, and constructability initiatives.

• Ensure engineering work complies with applicable legislation, codes, standards, client specifications, and internal quality procedures.
• Participate in design reviews, technical audits, and quality assurance activities.
• Promote safe-by-design principles and identify potential engineering and construction risks.
• Maintain accurate technical records and ensure appropriate checking and approval processes are followed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
• Professional engineering registration or equivalent qualification is preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant civil/structural engineering experience, including significant experience leading engineering activities on industrial projects.
• Proven experience with industrial facilities, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or other process-oriented environments is preferred.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinating technical interfaces across complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of structural and civil design principles, applicable international standards, and relevant local requirements in Greece and/or Europe.
• Experience with structural analysis, design, detailing, and civil engineering design appropriate to industrial facilities.
• Proficiency with relevant engineering design, analysis, BIM/CAD, and project documentation software; specific software platforms may vary by project.
• Strong technical writing, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality engineering work within project schedules and budgets.
• Professional working proficiency in English; proficiency in Greek is advantageous.
• Willingness to collaborate with international teams and support projects across multiple locations.
