Manufacturing & ProductionManufacturing Supervisor

The Manufacturing Supervisor, NGS TE Production will bring strong knowledge of synthetic and molecular biology techniques, including PCR, vector production, cloning, miniprep, DNA analysis, sequencing, and packaging. In this role, you’ll perform, train, and oversee production staff on molecular biology workflows in a highly automated, high-throughput environment, and you’ll be responsible for manufacturing and analyzing a variety of custom gene products across Twist Bioscience’s proprietary workflow according to SOPs and the daily production schedule.

As the main point of contact for shift operators, you’ll make sure the shift team is working to the plan of record, provide guidance, set priorities, and lead troubleshooting. You’ll also lead the pass-down of information between shifts.

The ideal candidate works independently, is highly organized, has excellent molecular biology skills, maintains and builds 5S systems, contributes to process improvement and documentation, and communicates effectively with peers and management. You’ll have knowledge of good laboratory practices (GLPs), familiarity with GMP or ISO-rated production, and experience leading and training others. You must be comfortable working in a LEAN manufacturing, controlled laboratory environment.
