The Manager, Supply Chain develops, updates, generates, and executes the requirement plan for the manufacturing site while supporting the effectiveness of the supply chain vendors and customer service. This role has a direct link to the Production Planning, Inventory Planning & Capacity Planning to represent wholistic supply chain management for the Commercial Water site in Oxnard, CA.

This position will support Rheem North America, based Oxnard, CA. This role follows our on-site manufacturing schedule.

  • Manage personnel through direct management or indirect management as assigned by VP of SIOP
  • Develop and maintain supply and production plans, ensuring alignment with sales forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory targets.
  • Manage procurement activities including sourcing, vendor selection, issuing purchase orders, and negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels based on demand forecasts, usage trends, and service level requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate supply risks, proactively resolving constraints and escalating issues with appropriate urgency.
  • Coordinate with Assembly to plan and execute production schedules, including pre-builds to support capacity limitations and demand fluctuations.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, and Finance to ensure execution of supply, inventory, and production plans.
  • Support engineering changes and new product introductions by coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice, receiving, and material discrepancies in partnership with Accounts Payable and Material Control.
  • Track and manage backorders, delivery schedules, and supplier communications to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Maintain documentation including purchase orders, supplier records, quality metrics (PPM), and compliance requirements.
  • Leverage data and reporting tools (e.g., Excel) to analyze trends, monitor KPIs, and support decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to planning processes, system parameters, and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate production and supply plans clearly to stakeholders and adjust plans dynamically based on changing business conditions
  • Creates and Maintains Valid Achievable Distribution Requirement plans through reviewing SKU level MPS plans and capacity considerations from source of supply
  • Manages shelf-life and quality constraint requirement while balancing and moving stock in the network
  • Monitor inventory against stock targets, pre-build plans, and service levels during low and peak seasonality trends and takes swift actions   
  • Defines near term inventory requirements based on pull materials management process and segmentation
  • Accountable for providing a view of all the warehouse capacity constraints, risks of violation, and opportunities to lift these constraints
  • Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of key master data elements and planning data, not limited to planning parameters, to ensure planning is streamlined and effective
  • Drives actionable plans for excess inventory, slow-movers, no-movers, returns, dysfunctional stock
  • Identify and prioritize root causes of fill rate issues and excess inventory, and drive corrective actions across cross-functional teams
  • Maintain item segmentation, target inventory levels and quality of inventory
  • Manage Finished Goods Inventory through the life cycle management process
  • Review inventory policies and determine optimal updates on a monthly – quarterly basis
  • Develop inventory targets and safety stock including min/max alongside reporting mechanisms to understand key KPIs and metrics
  • Publish inventory reports and perform analysis on an as-needed basis
  • Ongoing development of role in relation to business requirements is required as new tasks can be assigned
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Some work in non-climate-controlled facility
  • Sitting and walking for extended periods
  • Occasionally lifting up to 20lbs
