DISPATCHER-POLICE (PART-TIME TEMPORARY)

Sends and receives radio transmissions from sworn and non-sworn field units and surrounding agencies. Answers the telephone and determines the form of assistance required. Assures units within the department responds or refers the call to other sources for resolution. Performs multi-tasking priorities. Maintains knowledge of all required department policies and procedures. Operates the Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center/National Crime Information Center (ACJIC/NCIC) terminal and become certified on the same. Operates equipment in the Communications Center. Rotates on all shifts and all days of the week, at the discretion of the Communications Supervisor. 

Hourly Pay Range: $17.95 - $29.20

High School diploma or GED required. Ability to type twenty-five (25) WPM required.
