Physician Assistant Certificate by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
Both
Prescriptive authority and DEA license must be obtained after hire

Job Requirements:
- Provide comprehensive behavioral health assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care within the provider’s scope of practice.
- Obtain and document detailed psychiatric and medical histories, including presenting symptoms, mental health history, medications, substance use, social history, and risk factors.
- Perform mental status examinations and assess patients for depression, anxiety, psychosis, substance use, suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, and other behavioral health conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, patient needs, evidence-based practices, and established standards of care.
- Prescribe, administer, and manage psychiatric and other medications in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and clinical protocols.
- Monitor medication effectiveness, therapeutic response, adverse effects, interactions, and patient adherence; adjust treatment as clinically appropriate.
- Provide ongoing psychiatric and medical follow-up to evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Identify and respond appropriately to psychiatric emergencies and patients presenting with acute behavioral or safety concerns.
- Perform other duties as needed.
