Requirements
~1 min read- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline such as health sciences, public health, social sciences, Indigenous studies, or a related field, plus a minimum of two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience coordinating research or community-based projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple competing priorities.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and culturally safe research practices.
- Experience coordinating health research or community-based research projects.
- Knowledge of research administration, including ethics processes, project coordination, reporting, and documentation.
- Experience supporting project budgets, financial tracking, and funding reporting.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with Indigenous communities, researchers, health system partners, and community organizations.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while meeting project deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and virtual meeting platforms.
- Experience with knowledge mobilization, research communications, and dissemination activities is an asset.
- Knowledge of Indigenous health research methodologies, community-engaged research, and OCAP® Principles or related Indigenous data governance frameworks is considered an asset.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary research team.
