SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Key responsibilities: Maintaining accurate accounting records. Preparing monthly reconciliation for bank, investment, and brokerage accounts. Recording and monitoring investment transactions. Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. Preparing audit working papers and responding to auditor queries. Assisting with regulatory and compliance reporting where required. Requirements Key requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred. Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within an investment company, brokerage, fund manager, asset manager, or financial services environment. Strong understanding of stock market investments, investment accounting, and financial instruments. Experience performing bank, investment portfolio, and brokerage account reconciliations. Ability to prepare accurate monthly management accounts and supporting schedules. Strong audit mindset and professional skepticism, with the ability to identify discrepancies, challenge unusual transactions, and investigate reconciling items thoroughly. Experience supporting external audits and preparing audit schedules. High attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.
