University City Housing is a Philadelphia-based property management company with significant real estate holdings in and around the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Our current portfolio consists of 4,000 residential units and 250,000 square feet of commercial space.

UCH is actively seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to join our team! 

This position will support our Property Management Portfolio across Greater Philadelphia. 

Each day will vary. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Install, program, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm systems
  • Perform system testing and inspections to ensure proper functionality
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate installations
  • Diagnose system issues and complete necessary repairs promptly
  • Install and route low-voltage wiring for system integration
  • Stay current on industry technology, equipment, and procedures
     
Ideal Candidate Profile: 
  • Previous Fire Alarm experience 
  • NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level 1 Certification
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to be a team player who can work independently with minor supervision as well as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize urgent projects and work in a fast-paced and challenging work environment
  • Strong levels of communication (both written and spoken English)
  • A valid driver's license and vehicle
  • Must be comfortable with heights and ladders
  • Able to work non-traditional hours in the event of emergency 
  • Ability to travel throughout Greater Philadelphia
