• Udhyam Vyapaar focuses on nano businesses in India, and solving large problems faced by them, at scale; having already enabled 10000+ entrepreneurs.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Manager (Operations) who can lead the State programs in Madhya Pradesh. The Senior Manager will be a part of the core team, will work closely with government partners and with Udhyam’s internal teams to maximise the reach and impact of the program.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Hold the vision for the state and drive towards aligning Udhyam’s State mission with the broader mission of ‘Making Bharat Entrepreneurial’.

• Define program goals and implementation strategy, and prepare and execute the project plan.

• Define the ownership areas of team members and stakeholders, and regularly review progress and strategy.

• Build robust relationships with key stakeholders, from SCERT and the Department of Education to senior members of the bureaucracy such as the Principal Secretary, who can influence the success of the program and drive entrepreneurial capital in the state.

• Establish clear expectations and proactively manage stakeholders to engage towards maximum program impact.

• Bring a strong ‘field cum data’ mindset: use technology and data dashboards to monitor program delivery across the state, and visit the field to observe ground-level implementation across classrooms.

• Build and lead the state team, and collaborate closely with Udhyam’s central teams.

Skills, Experience and Mindsets

• Must be based in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and willing to travel across the state to establish program success.

• 12+ years of experience working collaboratively with government stakeholders on large-scale programs.

• Experience in building, leading and developing teams, including field-based teams spread across a large geography. 

• Experience in the education sector or in a Program Management Unit (PMU). 

• Experience in Vocational Education is advantageous. 

• Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi.

• Comfortable with MS Office.
