We are looking for a Software Engineer III to join our dynamic team. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to high-impact software solutions used by enterprises and users worldwide, with a focus on building and enhancing data platform and eventing capabilities. As a Software Engineer III, you will design, develop, and maintain complex software systems — implementing event-driven and data processing technologies that enable analytics, improve business operations, and support scalable, reliable data sharing across the enterprise. You will work in a collaborative environment, contributing to the technical foundation behind our flagship products and services.
We are seeking engineers with diverse specialties and skills to innovate and solve complex challenges. Our team is looking for strong talent with expertise in the following areas:
• Back End Engineer (API Development, Database Management, Security Practices, Message Queuing)
• DevOps Engineer (CI/CD Pipelines, IaC proficiency, Containerization/Orchestration, Cloud Platforms)
About the Team
The team builds and operates the core systems that enable data movement, processing, and availability across the organization. We specialize in event-driven and streaming architectures, with a strong focus on Kafka-based platforms and cloud-native technologies. Our work supports real-time product capabilities, analytics, and intelligent automation by ensuring data is reliable, scalable, and secure.
About the Role
As a Software Engineer III on the team, you will design, develop, and maintain software systems that capture, route, store, and transform data from a wide range of internal and external sources. You will work primarily on eventing and streaming solutions, contributing to distributed systems that operate at scale and require high reliability.
This role emphasizes strong software engineering fundamentals, sound understanding of data and data relationships, and the ability to deliver production-quality solutions. You will collaborate closely with peers, product partners, and dependent teams to translate business and technical requirements into well-designed, maintainable software.
Responsibilities
• Software Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code for various software applications and systems, following established coding standards and best practices.
• Technical Leadership: Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of complex software applications and systems, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and performance.
• Event-Driven & Data Platform Engineering: Design and develop software components for event-driven and data platform systems with a focus on reliability, scalability, and maintainability. Build and operate data pipelines that ingest, route, and persist structured and unstructured data across distributed systems.
• Project Management: Manage execution and delivery of features and projects, negotiating priorities and deadlines, ensuring successful and timely completion with quality.
• Architectural Design: Participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders and in the architectural design of new features and systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Code Review: Diligently review code developed by other engineers, provide feedback, and maintain a high bar of technical excellence adhering to industry best practices — including coding guidelines, unit tests, and observability built from the ground up.
• Testing: Build testable software, define tests, and automate using tools (e.g., JUnit, Selenium) and design patterns leveraging the test automation pyramid. Test, debug, and troubleshoot software to meet functional, performance, and operational requirements.
• Service Health and Quality: Maintain the health and quality of services and incidents, proactively identifying and resolving issues. Utilize service health indicators and telemetry for actionable recommendations to optimize performance. Conduct root cause analysis and drive measures to prevent future recurrences.
• DevOps Model: Take ownership across the full lifecycle — from working with product management on requirements to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software in production.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data and software solutions align with product and platform needs. Contribute to design standards, documentation, and assurance processes.
• Tooling & Innovation: Evaluate and adopt new tools or technologies that improve data processing, automation, or platform robustness.
• Documentation: Properly document new features, enhancements, and fixes, contributing to training materials and team knowledge.
