| Position Overview: |
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Retriever CARE, the Retriever CARE Coordinator provides goal-oriented, strengths-based assessment, intervention, and coordination of services to students experiencing academic, personal, or medical difficulties. Working alongside UMBC’s Retrieve CARE team, this position facilitates an institutional response to students in distress by delivering targeted interventions and linking students to needed campus and community resources. |

| Responsibilities: |
- Deliver direct care to students referred for behaviors of concern, including threats of harm to self or others, disruptions to academic study due to mental health crises, conflict resolution and other personal challenges.
- Conduct initial assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with students and relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor student progress and provide ongoing support and follow-up as needed.
- Facilitate connections to appropriate resources both on- and off-campus.
- Utilize the NABITA Risk Rubric to triage mental health concerns and assess potential threats to the campus community.
- Serve as a liaison between students, Residential Life, Academic Success Center, Office of Equity and Civil Rights, Retriever Integrated Health, academic advisors and other campus resources to coordinate effective support services.
- Facilitate referrals to appropriate campus and community resources based on student needs.

Salary:Salary: $63,000 - $71,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
