The University of Miami's College of Arts and Sciences has an exciting opportunity for a full time Post Doctoral Associate to work in Coral Gables, FL.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Ph.D. in cell biology, developmental biology, evolutionary biology or a related field at time of hire.
- →Hands-on experience with confocal microscopy.
- →Competence in applied statistics.
- →A record of peer-reviewed publication.
- →The ability to advance a project with limited day-to-day supervision, and to work productively in a multidisciplinary group.
- →Experience analyzing high-throughput sequencing data preferred.
- →Microdissection and microinjection of insects preferred.
- →RNA-seq from small or dissected tissue samples preferred.
- →Insect performance and life-history assays preferred.
- →Learning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
- →Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.
- →Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
- →Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
