The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Sr. Department Administrator to work in the UHealth Campus.  

• →Provides leadership in developing business strategies and tactics to support the goals of the division and overall Health System’s strategic plans for market growth and development.
• →Heads performance management processes and outcomes for employees and physicians.
• →Guides managers in developing skills in and implementation of performance management practices.
• →Supports professional development of the workforce.
• →Performs needs assessments to determine continuing education needs of staff.
• →Monitors staff and physician satisfaction.
• →Provides administrative oversight to the division’s practices, supporting the employment of quality improvement processes.
• →Pursues the spread of best practice in operations, consistent with overall network goals.
• →Directs the planning and strategic formation of the clinical program’s goals.
• →Directs the development of policies and procedures for network-wide use in the clinical activities of the practices.
• →Analyzes and reviews financial and productivity reports.
• →Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

• Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
• Ability to establish department goals and objectives that support the strategic plan.
• Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others.
• Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
