Business Analyst

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a professional Business Analyst to join our UniQue Brussels team.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support multiple projects in a European institutional environment. The role combines business process analysis, requirements management and testing with development planning and delivery coordination. The successful candidate will translate business needs into actionable requirements, coordinate development activities and help ensure the timely delivery of project releases.

• Analyse, evaluate and document business processes, requirements and business data.
• Gather and translate business needs into functional specifications, software requirements and user stories.
• Develop and maintain business process models using BPMN, UML and other relevant modelling techniques.
• Define and propose development scenarios, outlining scope, release breakdowns, priorities and implementation plans.
• Prepare and maintain development roadmaps, release plans and detailed work schedules across multiple projects.
• Identify dependencies between projects, coordinate development activities and monitor progress against agreed plans and milestones.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, users, project leaders and developers to clarify requirements, agree priorities and ensure alignment on deliverables.
• Coordinate day-to-day development activities and support developers in achieving planned outcomes.
• Contribute to business cases, project charters, security plans and risk assessments.
• Organise meetings, document decisions and follow up on agreed actions.
• Prepare and update test plans and test scenarios, verify developments against requirements and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Master + 15 years of relevant experience
• 5+ years of professional experience in Business Analysis.
• 2+ years of experience with BPMN and ARIS Architect or another business process modelling tool.
• 2+ years of experience with UML and with Microsoft Visio.
• 1+ year of experience documenting business requirements and software features using user stories.
• Strong analytical skills and a sound understanding of business analysis, requirements engineering, Agile methodologies and process modelling.
• Knowledge of use-case, state, entity-relationship and interaction diagrams.
• Practical knowledge of Jira, Microsoft applications, SQL and UAT testing.
• Ability to analyse requirements, prepare test scenarios and validate software developments against agreed specifications.
• Background in development planning, roadmapping, release management and cross-project dependency coordination.
• Ability to coordinate developers and organise work across several concurrent projects.
• Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with European institutional environments and PM² or other project management methodologies.
• Good written and spoken English.
• French is an advantage.
