The Role
We're hiring an engineer to build production AI agents that do real work across our business. You'll take processes like document intake, data extraction, keeping systems in sync, internal copilots, decision support, and workflow orchestration, and turn them into agents that run reliably every day.

This is a hands-on engineering position. We need someone who writes the code, deploys the agent, and stays accountable for how it performs. If your strength is AI strategy decks rather than shipped systems, this isn't the right fit. You'll report directly to the Director of Technology, with nothing standing between a problem you identify and a solution you put into production.

Location and Schedule
This is a full-time, in-office role at our headquarters in Kennesaw, GA. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available, and we are not offering relocation for this position. You should be able to commute to Kennesaw reliably starting on your first day.

What You'll Build and Own

  • Architect and ship production agentic systems using tool calling, multi-step reasoning, sub-agent orchestration, memory, retrieval, and human-in-the-loop review points
  • Work with leadership and operators in each business unit to find the automation opportunities worth pursuing, then deliver agents that capture them
  • Connect agents to our existing environment, including Microsoft Graph, Entra, SharePoint, Teams, Procore, Azure Functions, Make.com, and outside APIs
  • Build secure identity and access patterns for agents: managed identities, service principals, OAuth2 flows, least-privilege Graph permissions, and audit logging
  • Stand up evaluation pipelines and observability for every production agent, covering cost, output quality, failure modes, and regression testing
  • Track down problems early and keep agents performing as the business and the models change
  • Set and maintain AI governance standards across our companies for data handling, model selection, prompt management, versioning, and rollback
  • Write clear documentation of architecture and decisions so your systems can be maintained long after they're built
  • Follow the agentic AI space closely (Claude, OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, LangGraph, MCP, and others) and give practical recommendations on which platforms to use

The Environment You'll Build In
Our technology runs on a modern, well-maintained foundation: Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Azure (Functions, Table Storage, Entra Domain Services), Procore, and custom integrations built with Make.com and Microsoft Graph. We see well-applied technology as a real competitive edge across our portfolio of operating companies, and agentic AI is now a core investment for all of them.

Must-Haves

  • 3 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 1 year delivering AI/LLM systems in production (prototypes and demos don't count)
  • Strong Python and/or TypeScript skills
  • Hands-on work with at least one major agent framework or SDK, such as the Anthropic Claude SDK, OpenAI Agents SDK, LangGraph, Vercel AI SDK, Semantic Kernel, or Azure AI Foundry
  • Real experience building eval harnesses and interpreting the results. You should be able to show how you know an agent is working
  • Working knowledge of Azure Functions, Microsoft Graph API, Entra ID app registrations, OAuth2, and managed identities
  • Solid backend and integration skills: REST APIs, webhooks, queues, state management, and authentication patterns
  • Clear writing and the ability to lay out trade-offs for a technical leader making investment calls
  • Able to work on-site daily in Kennesaw, GA

We'd Especially Like to See

  • Production work with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, or Azure AI Foundry
  • Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers or similar tool-server designs
  • Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) built over enterprise document stores like SharePoint, OneDrive, or Confluence
  • Background in multi-entity or multi-tenant environments where identity and data concerns cut across organizations
  • Infrastructure-as-code or DevOps experience with Bicep, Terraform, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
  • Exposure to construction technology (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.) or vertical SaaS integrations

Also a Plus

  • A cybersecurity or compliance background, especially in AI governance, data classification, or zero-trust
  • Open-source contributions to agent frameworks or developer tools
  • Experience as one of the first AI hires at a company

How We'll Measure Success

  • How quickly new agents and automations go from idea to production
  • Business results you can point to, such as hours saved, faster cycle times, fewer errors, or revenue gained
  • Reliability, including uptime, eval pass rates, cost efficiency, and how incidents are handled
  • The strength of what you leave behind: maintainable code, documentation, security posture, and knowledge shared with the team

What Sets This Role Apart

  • You report straight to the Director of Technology, with no extra layers in the way
  • You'll have a real budget for tools and platforms, not a free-tier mandate
  • You'll be building on a clean, modern stack instead of untangling legacy systems
  • Your work will span multiple operating companies and touch many parts of the business
  • You'll be able to point to live production systems and say you built them

Benefits and Growth
We offer a competitive base salary based on experience, along with health, dental, and vision coverage, a retirement plan, and paid time off. We also support continued growth through learning budgets, conference attendance, and dedicated time for building new skills.

Applying
Along with your resume, send a brief write-up of one agentic AI system you've put into production. Tell us what it did, what was hardest about building it, how you evaluated it, and what you'd change if you built it again. That write-up matters more to us than your resume.

Public repos, write-ups, or recorded demos are very welcome. A cover letter isn't required, but the project description is.
