Role Responsibilities:

Maintain facilities, equipment, and accessories throughout the plant including plumbing, electrical, structural and fixtures.

Complete minor electrically troubleshooting and coordinate with vendors on major electrical component repairs.

Inspect and maintain electrical motors, risers, boiler, baler, scrubber, cooling tower, chip blower, skid wrapper, piping, and dry and wet vacuum pumps.

Troubleshoot forklifts and machinery. Communicate with original equipment manufacturers and vendors to help with the repair of the machinery.

Replace, fabricate, or find repair parts and adjust machines including coordinating with vendors related to gears.

Maintain proper knowledge and use of welding machines for ARC and Acetylene welds.

Operate lathe, shafts, drills, lathes, milling and welding machines. And machine items within .001 tolerances of specification.

Coordinate with fire department, insurance carrier and vendors to maintain fire suppression system.

Act as primary contact for vendors and safety officials on building alarm.

Oversee proper state and local permits for safety, hazardous materials, aerosol cans, Safety Data sheets, welding and boiler.

Dispose of scrape metal, old pallets and ink.

Work in other areas when needed and/or required by supervisor.

Follow all safety rules, procedures, and policies.

Open facility on Monday morning and participate in building on-call activities.

Keep clean and maintain all electrical cabinets.

Clean machine parts and maintain equipment in proper safe working condition and within appropriate tolerances.

Maintain a clean, orderly, safe shop and/or workplace area.
Requirements:

High School Diploma, Trade School Certification or equivalent.

1 - 2 years of Manufacturing Maintenance experience or solid work experience within a similar position.

Experience with a variety of hand tools and possess a mechanical aptitude, good analytical skills, is detail oriented and the ability to read a ruler and calculate basic mathematical skills.

Ability to demonstrate production safety standards.

Takes pride and ownership in their job including maintaining good attendance and attention to quality.

Has initiative to take on additional responsibilities.

Enjoys hands on work.
-
Effective communication skills.

Enjoys working in a Team Environment and shows the ability to work independently.

Envelope Industry preferred but not required.
Physical Demands
Ability to stand for the approximate duration of the scheduled shift (minus paid lunch and breaks), walking occasionally, lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, repetitive grasping, frequent twisting, lifting above shoulder height, occasional bending, reaching, crouching, squatting, kneeling or stooping. Occasionally pulling or pushing items. Sensory requirements are tactile/touch with hands and digits, near and far visual acuity, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
