This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Build and assemble scenery, set pieces, and platforms using wood, metal, and standard shop tools (saws, drills, welders, etc.)
- →Paint and finish sets according to designer specs (base coats, texturing, faux finishes)
- →Rig and install scenic elements for load-in; strike sets after productions close
- →Maintain and organize the shop — tools, materials, paint area, and equipment upkeep
Requirements
~1 min read- Some demonstrated experience with basic carpentry, hand and power tools (saws, drills, etc.)
- Ability to safely operate shop equipment, or willingness to be trained on it
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks — climbing ladders, kneeling, standing for extended periods, working at heights
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work under supervision of the Technical Director
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
