Performs unit secretarial and receptionist duties; and also handles basic nursing care tasks under the direction of the RN.

Demonstrates effective communication skills in gathering and disseminating information
Demonstrates effective decision making and flexibility in prioritizing assignments
Demonstrates effective computer skills and the ability to perform accurate order entry
Demonstrates good organizational skills in maintaining the medical record
Demonstrates the ability to perform patient care duties under the direction of the RN and within the scope of practice of the PCT

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent required
BLS Certification required
Basic computer skills: Microsoft Office, Word required.
One year experience as CNA, Nurse Aide Acute Care, EMT, nursing student, or other comparable experience required.
Experience performing phlebotomy and/or EKGs highly desirable.
Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records preferred.
Available to work weekends & holidays
