The Role
To lead and inspire a high-performing national retail team that brings our brand DNA, product and customer experience to life in market.
The Head of Retail owns the commercial performance, customer experience, people capability and culture of the retail fleet, connecting customer insight, product storytelling and operational execution to deliver sustainable growth.
This role acts as the voice of retail in market, building strong cross-functional partnerships to ensure stores are commercially productive, culturally aligned and consistently customer obsessed.
Key Accountabilities
Commercial Leadership & Fleet Performance
• Own the national retail performance across sales, store contribution, productivity and customer metrics.
• Lead a customer-led and commercially focused retail culture that delivers sustainable growth.
• Drive trade through strong commercial leadership, data-led decision making and customer insight.
• Identify opportunities and risks across the fleet and lead responsive action plans that improve performance.
• Partner closely with Global Retail, Operations, Merchandise, VM, and Marketing teams to maximize product performance and customer engagement.
Customer Experience & Brand Execution
• Champion exceptional and customer-led retail experiences across all store environments.
• Partner with Marketing, VM and Merchandise teams to execute global brand vision, campaigns and product strategies with excellence, while contributing meaningful local customer and market insight.
• Lead teams to deliver engaging, commercially effective and brand-aligned store experiences that strengthen customer connection and bring brand DNA to life.
• Build strong product knowledge, storytelling and customer engagement capability across all levels of the retail team.
• Ensure stores consistently reflect high standards of execution, service, energy and brand experience across the fleet.
Leadership & Capability
• Build, inspire and develop a high-performing retail leadership team.
• Create a culture of accountability, ownership, growth and collaboration across the retail fleet.
• Coach leaders to strengthen commercial thinking, customer understanding and people leadership capability.
• Identify and grow future talent through succession planning and intentional development.
• Lead with visibility and connection, spending meaningful time in stores and with teams.
Cross Functional Leadership
• Act as the key connector between customer, stores, product, brand and support functions.
• Influence cross-functional stakeholders to deliver outcomes that improve customer experience and commercial performance.
• Partner with Head of Retail Operations to ensure operational frameworks and standards are effectively embedded and executed through the retail fleet.
• Support change initiatives that strengthen business capability, execution and consistency.
Retail Excellence & Operational Partnership
• Ensure operational excellence standards are consistently executed across the retail fleet.
• Partner with Retail Operations to support the successful implementation of frameworks relating to safety, compliance, stock integrity, wage optimization, risk and systems execution.
• Reinforce accountability within retail leadership teams for consistent operational discipline and execution standards.
• Escalate operational risks, customer impacts or execution gaps that may impact brand experience or commercial performance.
