Team Leader - Manufacturing 1st Shift

This position is located on-site in Ripon, WI. 

 

 

The Team Lead is an integral part of the production team, responsible for supporting and guiding a group of 8-12 team members under the supervision of a Group Leader (Supervisor). The focus is on developing team capabilities and maintaining a high standard of work through effective leadership and continuous improvement.

 

Primary duties:

• →Assimilate and train new team members within their area, serving as the point of contact for new additions.
• →Lead daily pre-shift meetings to update the team on safety, quality, HR, and production goals.
• →Ensure all team members are following safety procedures and obtain proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for them when necessary.
• →Collaborate with team members to generate and support ideas for continuous improvement, and maintain a mindset of continuous improvement in all activities.
• →Escalate any production issues or systemic problems to the Group Leader.
• →Maintain communication from shift to shift with other Team Leads and Leaders.
• →Update and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other metrics for the area/zone.
• →Create, maintain, and audit Team Member Standard Work.
• →Be responsible for completing Hour by Hour Boards, 5S Audits, Dupont Stop Observations, and work stacks.
• →Ability to navigate conflict and reach resolution through coaching and support from the Group and Area Leaders.
• →Utilize SAP to aid in the manufacturing process.
• →Perform other duties as required.

• Prior experience leading others in a work or volunteer capacity.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes is preferred. 
• Must possess a genuine people-centric mentality and a heart for servant leadership.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, problem solving and troubleshooting ability.
• Proven leadership capabilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Standing long period, sitting, manual dexterity, stooping, bending
• Passing a pre-employment physical including a baseline test of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds
• Passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check
